About Sighthound Strolls Sighthound Strolls is an initiative which was set up to enable owners of pet Sighthounds in Ireland to meet up for regular walks and in doing so to raise awareness of the plight of Sighthounds in Ireland and promote Sighthounds as pets. The 'Sighthound' group includes greyhounds, whippets, salukis, and wolfhounds etc., as well as their breed mixes. Sighthounds are becoming increasingly popular as pets in Ireland and we hope that by giving people the chance to meet the dogs and chat to Sighthound owners that we are able to dispel some of the myths that lead people to believe that they don't make suitable pets. We would love to hear from you if you own a Sighthound or are thinking of getting one or if you would like to take part in or organise a Sighthound Stroll anywhere in Ireland. This forum is intended as a place for people to come together to organise their own walks and for people to find out about upcoming walks. Any walks promoted through this forum must be undertaken within the guidelines recommended by the Sighthound Stroll team. These guidelines can be found in our Sighthound Strolls section. Sighthound Strolls assume no liability for injury of any nature and/or property damage and death that may occur as a result of walkers and their dog’s participation in any walks. Walkers to ensure they are covered by their own household, life and pet insurance.
